Let's play Catch up #2

This photo was taken about 3 weeks ago on my first day of Student Teaching. It was filled with all day meetings and getting to know the teacher. This was in the early morning waiting for my teacher to arrive, and it was super cold. My class is outside so it was pretty cold most of the day.

Jaime and I went to the flea market to see what we could find and this particular time, I actually found a ton of goodies that I needed. While we were searching for stuff, we came across this book. Honestly, the book was just gross and weird...why would I keep a dead cat? Strange stuff people do.

I feel like I never see this little one anymore. I'm so glad I got MLK off, because I really needed to spend some time with this little one. I got the soundtrack of Frozen for her and she just loves it. If you have not seen the movie you need to! I think, and it's totally my opinion, the best disney movie. Like it's my number one movie. I think its better than all the movies. Only because (spoiler alert!!!!) the sister saves her sister so yeah. Im all for sisters saving each other instead of a man saving a woman. Independence wooh!

So remember I told ya'll that my husband was now in a band or at least playing with another guy? Well they had their second gig at a very upscale restaurant. They earned $60 each(There are three guys total now). I was joking with him about that but then I said well I guess your making more money than me....I'm working for free right now and you got $60 for 3 hours. He just laughs.

This past weekend I bought Megan some converse shoes. She loves them. It was either those or some cute solid pink ones..Nope she chose these. She's not very girly when it comes to shoes unless they have heels then heels beat all other shoes. She's so cute in her converse, I just love that she has shoes like momma.

I mentioned on the last "Let's play catch up" post that we did some crafts and she was not too into it. The wreath that she made is hung in the living room. I think she is very into her painting don't you think. All she wanted to do was paint.

It was grandma's 95th birthday and my poor grandma was taking a ton of pictures that day and Im sure she got tired really quick. People got a little crazy and really wanted to celebrate her birthday. Megan was with my mom at the movies so they came and dropped her off after the movie. Everyone was asking for her, and when she finally did arrive she gave everyone hugs.We bought her some flowers that I thought as everyone else did that they were so pretty.

Fallen Series

Starting since January I have been reading the Fallen series. I had the first book on my nightstand for quite awhile (October to be exact) and I never actually took it out to read it. I bought it from the half off store and just never got around to reading it until January.

I love Fallen the first book and really wanted to know the whole story of the two main characters. I was not a big fan of the other books especially Passion but Rapture finally wrapped everything together. It was an o.k series. I would say thought Fallen,Torment were my favorite books and Rapture was pretty great too.

I was pretty lucky that my local library had the last three books of the series in their digital library, so I didn't have to pay for any of the books except for the first one. Lucky me! Oh, and I just found out that they are turning this book into a movie so that's pretty exciting.

From Amazon on Fallen: What if the person you were meant to be with could never be yours?

There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce--and goes out of his way to make that very clear--she can't let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

Let's play Catch up

I know I have been MIA for awhile now but I'm so busy again. I miss blogging though. I like to read all the moments we had in the year on the blog so I really need to make time for this. So lets play catch up shall we? I have two more post that I have to publish but I have still not written them.

A couple of weeks ago I was putting away laundry and realized that I had missed a christmas present. In my defense I didn't put it in that particular spot, it was my husband. So when I found the present I had to come up with a story about Santa. So I told her that Santa must have left the present in my room by accident, and she bought it so whew! She loved her present. She has so many Monster High dolls it's insane

On my first day of student teaching it was a hectic day and I was in need of a pick me up. I didnt even have to tell my husband, he just bought me these flowers. I mean seriously he is so sweet. I love it when he does things like this.

I am starting on a new chalkboard. This chalkboard is going to used for Megan's yearly birthday photo. I have already painted the chalk on there and I just bought some paint for the actual frame. I am so excited to see the end result. I can't wait to use it for the next baby too. I just hope that I am able to do the same for this baby too.

Megan and I did some crafts about a couple of days ago and she was not really into it this time around but I was really into it. I made this cute little butterfly that I saw on pinterest. I think the little lady lasted about 10 minutes into the crafting. She did a valentine's day wreath that she started and I had to finish. Maybe if I had another kid with me she would have more interested in the crafting.

I hope ya'll are having a great Monday:)

Megan's Birthday party

I love the first half of the year. January - May. I don't know why, I just enjoy those months more than I enjoy the fall.I mean I love the fall season but for whatever reason I love the beginning of the year. I guess because of all the awesome events that happen during that time. Birthdays, Valentine's day, and  Easter, oh and my birthday. Yes, I really like the beginning half of the year.

So this year Megan wants a Monster high theme Party. She wants to do it at a Pizza Place. The last time we did a Pizza Party she was 1. I don't think we are going to do something really huge, just inviting a few people and her friends.

We plan on taking her on a trip during Spring break as part of her birthday present and I guess mine. She loves going to hotels, its pretty funny how much she loves to travel. I don't mean she loves being in the car the whole time but she does  like to visit cities, so that should be a nice surprise for her.

Hello, 2014 (The whole list of books)

So here we are on the first day of 2014 pregnant and awaiting the most hectic year yet.
We have a ton in store for us this year. Megan's 5th birthday, finding out the sex of the baby, state exams, graduation, students teaching, birth of our second child and working for a school district. The only thing I hope for year is that everything goes as planned and as smooth as possible.

I wanted to take the time to acknowledge that I didn't meet my 100 books for 2013. I kind of fell through when the fall semester began. I blame it on school, being that it is my senior year, but it is what it is and I didn't make it. I did make it over 50 so that's a plus right?

I think this year I am going to aim for 40. I should make that number lower but lets see what happens. With a new baby around who knows how much time I will have to read.

I am missing a few other books, but I can't remember the names of the books. They were from the digital lending library and they don't keep a list of the books I check out. So I guess theses will be the ones counted:) I am sad to admit that I have 3 other books on my nightstand that I have had since August and have yet to read them. Like I said, fall semester was really hard.

What books did you read for 2013?
