Megan's Recital

Megan had her first ballet recital a month ago on Monday. Her rehearsal was on Sunday, on Mother's day. We got dressed up on Mother's day and went to the auditorium. We sat down and watched the whole full dressed rehearsal. I am sure that this is what all parent's say but my child was pretty much the only one that had the routine down. She knew everything about her routine. I just loved watching her.

During the rehearsal we were told that we could not take any pictures at all. My husband heard in his own way, that he could take photos, just as long as he didn't get caught. Yes, I have that husband.  So while we were there he was just taking pictures and pictures of our baby. Some other people got caught but not him. It was bothering me that he was just taking pictures because I actually like to follow the rules. Oh, my husband.

On recital day, we got ready at 3 in the afternoon. She loved putting on makeup and getting all dolled up. I really wanted to put some eye liner on her but she refused so I worked with what I had and it turned out pretty good anyways. She looked so pretty with her red lipstick and the ton of glitter I put on her eyes and hair.

Most of our family came, the only person that didn't come was my dad but because he was feeling under the weather at the time. The show was amazing! I really liked the teenage show. They danced pretty dam good. I hope that Megan continues attending ballet. I didn't realize that the ballet company was that big, they had so many groups! She had fun and we had a great time. Andrew went with us and golly I was so scared that he was going to have a melt down. Not that he has done that yet but I was just afraid because it's a ballet show, and it's pretty quiet. She received her first roses after the show and she was really excited about that. She put them in her room in a case.
