Let's go to the Beach,Beach

Image
Megan had this great idea to go to the beach last week. I thought it was funny because boy did we have an eventful time last time we came to the beach, you can read about it Here . We had not gone to the beach since that time. I just didn't want to go if it was going to be exactly like last time.  Thankfully It wasn't like last time. She was pretty much always in the water, making sandcastles in the sand, and burying her uncle in the sand. She was fast asleep when we went home. We didn't stay for long,it was from 8:00-12:30. It was a Sunday and some of us had work to do that day and Jaime had to work the next day, so we thought it was best for us not be there for too long.We woke up at about 5:45 in the morning. Well actually I woke up at that time, Jaime and Megan had a really tough time waking up at that time. Somehow I got those two out of bed and we were off to meet my sisters and brother at our moms house. I think this beach trip was a hit. It was memorial weeke

Had another crash...at the same location!

The "Bad day" song from Daniel Powters keep replaying over and over my head. My day probably could have gone a lot worse than it has been going. At this point though I need a restart button. Have they finished making those?? So we are having some tiny problems at home that I dont feel like sharing right now, nothing to do with Jaime and I, just life problems I guess, but either way, those things have been round my mind for a few days. Plus, I had a "dumb" moment in my my online classroom. Lets start with my Geography class. I'm going to go to come out and say, I hate dislike Geography. Don't care where most of the countries are located, don't care how much population they have? I just don't. It does not interest me at all. So because of my lack of interest my grades are not all that great. Thankfully, Im not the only one that seems to be having a hard time with this class. We have to post discussions on a thread and the chapter was on North Americ

Mother's day

Image
I realized I never posted some of the other Mother's day photos. I have told you all a few things that we did do on that day, such as Disney on Ice but we also went to Barnes and Nobles, and we also ate at Logans for Lunch/Dinner. In the morning Jaime came in and brought me some flowers and some breakfast. Which was the sweetest thing. My flowers were beautiful with it's Mother's day balloon. Megan and I were pretty much ready for the day before Jaime got home and Megan was in her cute little dress. I bought that dress thinking that it was going to be hot and with this crazy weather it turned out to be a little chilly. Before we went to the show, we stopped by Barnes and Nobles. Jaime, bought the book Jane Eyre along with a bookmark I wanted and Megan and I were just hanging around Barnes and Nobles taking pictures of ourselves. After the show we went to Logan's where Jaime gave me my presents. Along with my present, he game me a little note that said I O U   K

I wrote this post on Sunday and had it scheduled for Tuesday. Somehow blogger deleted it and Im having to write it up again. Thanks Blogger.com   For Mother's day I received the book Jane Eyre. I've seen all versions of the movie but I suspect that it is missing parts of the book and since I just adore this movie I needed to have the book. I'm currently reading this book. Ive only gotten to about page 5 because there were other books ahead of this one. When I finish this book it will be Numero 28 that I have read so far in the year. I think Im doing poorly on my 2013 book challenge. I have to either stop searching for books and just settle or something. Or something :)  We made the decision to buy Megan a wood playground. When I was younger my family could not afford the pretty wood swing, so me and my sister settled for the metal ones. Not to say that my parents didn't try and buy them for us because they really did try but ultimately they were just too ex

The Panic Attack.

Image
Lets start from the wayyyy beginning. Megan needed some shots since February, but because I hate it when she gets shots and she hates the doctor, period. We decided to just postpone it a little. It is now May and Jaime finally took her to the doctor's office for her 4yr check-up, I had some errands to run on Friday and I also had some volunteer hours to do since it was early release on Friday. I finally get home and I ask them both how it went. Apparently she got 3 shots and they were all given to her on her thighs. He also said that she scream bloody murder sooo Im kind of glad I didnt go otherwise I would have cried. So lets fastforward to when I take her a shower the next day and I am working on putting on her shorts and what do I notice? A red bump. Yep, a scare little bump. I dont panic. I call Jaime and tell him what Im looking at. He says that it is probably a reaction to the shots. I let it slide because it was a little tiny thing. The next morning I look at her leg ag

The lazy weekend.

This past weekend I was determined to stay in my Pajamas for as much as possible. I just wanted to have one weekend where I didn't have to get all dressed up. So I pretty much stayed in doors and let me tell ya, It was lovely . Minus the panic attack I got, it was a pretty good weekend. On Friday after my Volunteer hours. We went to another talent show for my little sister, which by the way she killed! She was amazing! I mean that girl has a great voice. Have ya'll ever watched the movie Parental Guidance? In the movie, the way parenting has change is depicted as, everyone wins and no one keeps score in games and parents cannot say negative things about anyone in the game. That's pretty much how the principal and the staff members wanted for the parents to do. To my dad that's just the weirdest thing. There was a group of girls who weren't the best singers and my dad just had to say a negative comment. I guess it's just in their nature. Parenting has really

Next batch of books please??

There are some really good things about having a kindle. The one thing that I am growing to love is the lending library.  Did you know that you can borrow ebooks from you local library? I knew already from the beginning, but I thought I would have to do a whole bunch of passwords and all that shananigans, until I tried it one day and it was easy as 1..2...3. Seriously it's easy....and the best part...Its freakin' free!!! I highly encourage you avid readers to participate on this. I'm still trying to get used to the brightness on my kindle but I've learned that you can make the screen different colors when you read. Thank god, because I think I could have gone blind. These are the book I have read and one that I am still currently reading. Stolen-Lucy Christopher From Amazon: A girl: Gemma, 16, at the airport, on her way to a family vacation. A guy: Ty, rugged, tan, too old, oddly familiar, eyes blue as ice. She steps away. For just a second. He pays for

Its officially the first day of Summer Semester. Spring semester was really hard and I'm glad it's over. I received a new batch of classes this morning. My last day of spring semester was on Saturday at 10:20 AM, and get this...my first class of summer is today. So I had only about a day and a half to truly relax. It really sucks, I need a break! A long, long break. I know I didn't blog last week and I think the week before that but Ive been busy with school and lesson plans. You know, the never-ending story. For weeks, Jaime and I have been discussing about what we should do about the washer and dryer room. I've suggested countless things. Mr. Gonzalez saw this as an opportunity to put some of his military flags and call that decorating. So this is what our washer and dryer room looks like now. This isn't really what I had in mind but ehh..I did marry a Marine and that part of his life will never go away so Its staying like this:) I bought some Mason jar
