Halloween for Frankiestein!

Happy Halloween! It is a rainy day here in Texas. I was kind of hoping for a sunny one, but then again Megan has make-up on today so Im happy that it's not super hot. We woke up at 7 am to start on her costume. If you can't tell, she is Frankiestein from Monster High. We pretty much put that costume together in two weeks. She is missing one more detail to her costume but she chose not to wear them today.Parents are able to come to the Halloween party at her daycare. Megan said she really wants for me to go. I only plan on going for an hour because I really am not sure how it will go because it's kind of wet outside so Im not sure how long I will be there at the party.

I do know that Megan and I bought way to many candy bags for her friends and we also made some cupcakes for them. We are having a grand time with this whole halloween fiasco! I am excited for Megan. When she walked into her daycare everyone was so excited for her costume, even the teachers were excited to see her all decked out! She loved it!

When I was putting Makeup on her this morning. I realized last year there was no way she was going to like putting make-up on but this year she is a little bit older and is much more into the spirit of halloween. I love it! It was so much fun putting on her make-up for her.

I hope you all have a great and safe Halloween!

The Proposition & The Proposal

From Amazon: With her thirtieth birthday looming, Emma Harrison finds her biological clock clanging and the elusive knight in shining armor yet to appear. She’s running out of options, especially after her gay best friend backs out from being her sperm donor. Of course, there’s always a sperm bank, but Emma fears a donor mix-up might impregnate her with the spawn of Satan. Resident company womanizer, Aidan Fitzgerald, is used to always getting what he wants, especially in the bedroom. When Emma spurns his advances at the company Christmas party, he¹s determined to have her no matter what it takes. After Aidan learns of Emma's predicament, he is quick to offer a proposition that will benefit them both. He will father Emma¹s child, but she must conceive it with him naturally. Not one for hook-ups or casual sex, Emma is reluctant to take him up on his offer, but his charm, coupled with her intense desire for motherhood, wins out. Soon their baby-making sessions become more than just physical. Aidan can¹t seem to walk away from her while Emma begins to wonder if Aidan could be the one. But can Aidan leave his past behind to become the man Emma needs him to be?

I truly enjoyed this story.I was done with the first one and immediately bought the second one. I cried and laughed with this book. Buy it! Its not expensive on the kindle. Another good thing about this book is that the lady is pregnant. For all you pregnant ladies this is just one of the books you can relate to the main character.

9 weeks bumpdate

(Photo taken by Megan)

How far along: 9 Weeks

 Size of baby:Grape

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  -2
I think it's all those salads I keep eating. I think I had 4 salads this week alone. I've been eating a ton of fruits too.

Maternity Clothes: Just the one pair of pants for work

Gender: Not yet

Movement:I have not felt anything yet.
Anything making you feel queasy or sick: Brushing my teeth is the hardest thing, my gag reflex is on full force. I finally had my full blown morning sickness. It was pretty bad. I felt even worse because my little sister had spent the night and heard everything. Poor thing.

Sleep:Much better, this past week I had to sleep at 11pm due to a quiz I had to turn in at 9 am the next morning. Then Jaime and I stayed up watching Breaking Bad on Saturday. It had been a while since I have slept past 9pm

What I miss: Being able to brush my teeth in peace!

Happy or Moody most of the time: I raised my voice this past week. I never do that, but In my defense I was irritated.

Cravings:Runts(Haven't had those in years)
I told daddy-o to pick up some Runts....and he brought baby sour sweettarts.
In what universerse is that the same?
Baby was not happy.

Looking forward to: Taking a picture of Megan with all 4 pumpkins.
two pumpkins are Mom and Dad
and the two other pumpkins are Baby and Megan:)

Best moment this week: Megan being so sweet to the baby. I mean this kid keeps making me smile. She is always kissing my belly. She even talks to the baby already. I mean this girl is so ready to be a big sister. I cannot wait to include her in everything.
She also came across a sock monkey that she wants to give the baby. Awww!!

Also we made some cupcakes together and at the end of making some cupcakes Megan said " Hey mom, thanks for helping me make some cupcakes."
My heart just melted.
She has such great manners, and we're the reason for it:)
That makes me happy.

Estate sale & Halloween costumes

So school has gotten to the point where Im over it. Im tired, I just want to be finished. Well I recieved some good news. I have been verbally cleared to graduate in May with  a Bachelors of Science. I was so happy when they told me that. The only thing pending are some transcripts from two schools. Which I will be making the drive to the schools this week. Also, we have already started discussing student teaching. I really hope I get a teacher that does not let me take over. I secretly hope I get a kindergarten class. I still need third grade but Im going to assume the third grade teacher will not let me take over her class due to state testing. I know I would not. So I should be starting January 4th, which is a teachers in service, and I do need to go. For what? I have not clue but they told us that whatever the teacher does we do too. Im more afraid of the teacher/ parent conferences. Im scared.

So that's whats happening at school. That was just part of this past weekend. After our meeting with the our school superiors Jaime came up with the idea of going to look for garage sales. Every morning on my way to school I always see a ton of garage sales with really good stuff. We went driving around and we came across an estate sale. All together they charged us $28, but to be honest I don't think they added right.

set for $10

12 mason jars for $3

$1 dollar each

Jaime also got a poster and I got three children's books. So it was a pretty good garage sale day:) On Sunday Megan and I went with my mom and little sister to buy a costume for her. I also needed a costume but I was going to buy it somewhere else. My sister bought a red riding hood costume. I got my costume at the thrift store, yep at the thrift store. I will give you the details about my costume on Friday.. or Thursday on Instagram if you follow me (dmgonzalez14)

These shoes are part of Megan's Halloween costume. Can you guess what she is going to be?
Oh, and yes, I did do those stripes with white duct tape:)

2nd Ultrasound

We had our 2nd Ultrasound on Tuesday. So many emotions were running through my head and I really just wanted to see how baby was doing. I was terrified. My mom thankfully was able to come with me. Jaime had shift that day so he could not make it. When it was finally my turn to see the tech we went in and she asked if It was my first ultrasound and I told her why I was there again.

My main scare was that baby was not growing for whatever reason. I was so scared and was holding my moms hand. I was so relieved when I saw baby at a normal size for a 9 week old. I started to cry because I was so scared, and so happy that baby was o.k. He/she was even wiggling so much. I loved it. It brought a smile to my face knowing that he/she is fine and is having a fun time in my little belly. I sit here typing this still crying because the relief of knowing your baby is o.k is just amazing.

This week

This week has been an eventful week for us. We had another Ultrasound which I will post about that later, and Megan's daycare has also had activities all week. They had crazy sock day, camouflage day, firefighter day, and pajama day.I think her favorite day was crazy sock day, she got to wear her Monster High socks.
On the day of gymnastics we passed by a bowling alley and Megan asked why don't go bowling often and I told we could go the next day. Everyday it's usually the same ol think so I was glad that she got us out of our routine for once. We had a pretty fun time just the three of us. We got some snacks, listened to some country music and she was just having a really good time with Jaime and I. It was just a perfect family moment.

So Allegiant came out this week!! Awesome right! I had to pre-order it from Amazon. It was pretty cheap actually, compared to buying it full price at Target. Then I get free shipping in two days so it's lovely. I can go on and on about Amazon. I have only gotten to like Chapter 5. School has been really terrible and then meetings have been going on like crazy for student teaching.

Luckily Megan has daddy come and visit for Firefighter day. He has shift that day so it worked out perfectly. He got to spend some time with his little girl even if it was just for a while. He said that she was a little intimidated by all the other firefighters but that she had fun with her friends. Jaime said that he likes to teach the little ones rather than the big kids, I'm going to assume it's because they are more intrigued by all the cool gadget and the truck. He told me that on one of his visits to a different school one of the kids peed on their seats. Hilarious!

Happy or Moody most of the time: Well When Jaime is not at home I feel so sad and when he is home I'm o.k. Its like this baby knows when Jaime is gone. It always happens.

Best Moment This Week: Megan saying that she is going to have a little brother...and me turning team baby girl.

The update on baby

O.k so on October 1st we had our first ultrasound. When we got situated the tech said that the gel was going to be warm...well I have no idea what she thinks is warm because it was more like HOT. She started to look for baby. At first I could not see baby, and I started to panic.

Side note: For some reason I have been thinking that something is going to go wrong. So this ultrasound was very necessary for myself. Everything is just so different this time around that it scares me so much.

After awhile she finally found the baby. The first thing I noticed was that baby was really small for being 9 weeks. I remember telling the tech, why is she/he so small? She said that she could not answer those type of questions. Which got me to panic more. I started to tear up because I could not see a heartbeat and I could barely see the baby.

She made the picture bigger and I could finally see a tiny flicker. I was still really worried about the size of baby so I really just wanted to talk to the doctor to see what exactly is going on. After two hours we finally went in to speak to the doctor. She told us that it looks like baby is at 6 weeks instead of 9 weeks. I asked her how was that possible. She said that It could have been that my ovulation was pushed back about 2-3 weeks. Weird. Bascially, my body did something weird and baby is now due May 27. It was May 5th before so here we are:) This actually works out for everyone. I was worried about student teaching and graduation but If I can just hold out to the week before due date. Everything is good:)

The weekend

I know it's Wednesday and Im pretty late on this but eh it's ok:)
This past weekend we took a little road trip to Corpus Christi to visit my sister for her 21st birthday. We left from the city about 8 am and arrived at 10 to Corpus. We had one melt down so that was pretty good I guess, except for the yelling part.

It was starting to rain when we arrived which was a total bust because we all wore shorts. My sister lives pretty much on the ocean so the wind was pretty breezy.

When we walked into her apartment it was super cold! I mean my mother was under the blanket and everyone else had their arms crossed. It was like stepping into an igloo.

My sister has a roommate that is actually pretty good with decorating. I am not very good with decorating and I just fell in love with their apartment. Its just so girly:) My husband would never let me have our place look like that. Boohooo. My husband for whatever reason thinks he is better than me at decorating. I know I'm not that great at decorating but I know Im a tad better at it than him.

After a long discussion about what we were going to do in town, we decided on 1/2 off books store and a traders market. I had never been to a 1/2 off book store and let me to ya. I was in heaven. I just wanted to drown myself in this place. I desperately want to go back again. I think I could spend 5 hours there. I LOVE it! Then I spent only $35 on 6 books. Uhhhhh holy heck! I pay much more on amazon for just 3 books.
After we left the book store we headed to a traders markets. It wasn't that great. We didn't find much so we left after much walking around. Everyone was pretty hungry so we left to a restaurant. First, we went to a Brewer's something...I really cant remember what it was called but we left, after they told us it was an 1 and a half wait time. No thanks. So we left to the next town and at ate at a place called Snoopy's. If you are ever in  flour bluff eat here! It was really good.
After we ate. We went back to my sisters apartment where she opened present and we got to rest a little from the day. I know that it sound like we took like 4 hours but we were actually up and about from 10-4:30. We needed to get back home at a decent time because my mom and I were the only ones that had to work the next day.

That was the peak to our weekend at it was a good one:)

The second time around

The other day Jaime and I went to Target just to pick up a few things which of course led us to buy other things that were not on the list for that day. While we were there picking up a few items for Megan and the house, we of course walked around the baby section. While we were there we talked about what sort of things we would wanted this time around. He really wants a moby wrap(wow!) and he also wants a breast pump (for me not for him :)

I think I've mentioned on here that money was really tight when we had Megan and things were a little tougher than what I put off. Thankfully that's not the case this time around. Anyway, we had hand me down bottles. The only thing we bought were the nipples and the liners that we would buy almost every two weeks. Those liners are not inexpensive but they were very worth it because Megan probably only got sick once.

So this time around while we were shopping we were just walking through saying "oh, we don't necessary need that"..."we need this".Its almost like we were pros at this. I am really excited this time around, its a lot easier and things are just as they should be. We are all so happy about this new life:)

Life so far....

Megan is doing great in Gymnastics. She is still learning that she needs to tuck her chin in but other than that she is loving it. I love it when she glaces to where I am at just to know that I'm close by her. I'm thinking of keeping her in gymnastics but also next year putting her into either cheer leading or soccer. I want her to be active and not at home watching tv.

We bought baby's first item. Its called a 3 in 1 rocker. Bought it off of amazon,of course. Amazon is my best friend. Megan was so eager to open it up but lost interest because I thought it would just accumulate dust from being opened and not used for too long. We still have yet to open it so it's still in it's little box. Im not sure what we are going to get baby next. However, I am looking forward to getting the crib going. I think I'm going to go with the whole gender neutral stuff. I'm not a big fan of blue and pink. Some thing like orange and navy blue is what I'm thinking about. Which is why we bought this in brown...we would have chosen red or yellow but they were a little more expensive than the brown.

I saw these the first week I found out I was pregnant and I just wanted to buy them. Right now Im kicking myself for not buying a cute newborn dress I saw at target and these adorable shoes. I know it will only be one gender but I would like to keep the item for just in case reasons. The dress was adorable and I could have probably used it for taking pictures but grrrr. Im really kicking myself for it now.

Lately, when we have gone shopping we are finding absolutely nothing. I know crazy right? Seriously though when I don't have money I find something, but when I do have money I cant find anything. Story of my life. About two weeks ago a Burlington just opened near by so we went to go have a look see. Holy cow do they have a baby depot. They have a huge section of baby stuff, and they have the crib that I want so my mom and I will be going back to purchase the crib.  I bought some of this cocoa butter for the stretchmarks, but to be completely honest it's just to prevent from getting more stretchmarks than from the ones that Megan gave me.Megan also got some new shoes.

Megan and I had a great day yesterday. We had two parties to go to for the day. My sister was turning 11 and Megan's friend was turning 5. Her friend's name is Michael and he used to go to daycare with Megan. His cousin is bestfriends with Megan (photographed). Unfortuantly, she went to another daycare and she is also enrolled in Pre-k. My baby girl is not enrolled yet, but I think Im planning on putting her in the same school her bestfriend is at. Its a really good school but it's too soon to tell what I am going to do. These two love each other so much. Her mom was telling me how much she(Megan's friend) misses Megan, and I know Megan missed her too. Can you tell from the picture? They were running around the play area and just having a grand time together. Megan cried when we had to leave, she just missed her friend so much. They were best friends since 3 so I can understand. After we let we went to my sisters party where we danced and played outside. Momma started to feel dizzy so I had to sit after awhile.

First ultrasound...

The first ultrasound went a little different than expected. I wasn't expecting what they told me. So until further notice I will not doing any bumpdates. Baby heartbeat is fine. However, the bumpdates will not resume until 3 weeks from now. I will still write them but I wont be hitting the publish button.

I will give you the details later:)
