Buying a home

I didn't think it was going to be hard looking for a house to buy. I honestly thought that I was going to find the one in just a short while. We have been looking for a house for about 3 weeks already. We have viewed 4 houses so far. We have three more that we need to see this weekend. I fell in love with a two story house  that had everything I wanted and it was so darn beautiful!!! Unfortunately, they didn't like our offer and so they countered too high, so we let it go.It was hard for me but I really don't want to have a high monthly payment.

The list of things we want in our home are:
safe neighborhood
3-4 rooms
a garage
laundry room
a big back yard
large kitchen
dining room


We have another viewing soon and I kind of am in love with the two story house we are going to see. I think the only thing I don't like is that it's a little old.


This was the house I  was in love with but was a little too pricey.

Super cute! We're in the same boat, house shopping right now. We found a foreclosure that we love, but the down side is you have to do all the financial qualification on the front end - can you say HEADACHE!? And we haven't even been able to make an offer yet. I hope you guys find something you love soon!

House work

So today I was reading a blog chrislovesjulia.com  , and she posted a post about naming your house. Which I thought that was interesting. In our last home we actually called it The White House. Pretty sure Megan named it that. It had huge front windows and of course it was White. The name suited and it really stuck. It doesn't look like much but it was such a nice house. Cold in the winters but it was a nice home for the kids and our little puppy at the time. I think we lived here back in 2014, I could be wrong. In our current home we have decided to fix it up, and sell. We are 4 years into this house and we quickly realized soon after buying that it was too big for us.
