I have a secret

I like to read adult novels. Yes when I say adult novels...I do mean very adult. Mostly I like it because of the story line. The sex is okay but it's not the reason I like to read them. I think another reason Is because I actually started writing a book about a few months ago. Yes, I am currently writing a book. Have I actually written anything in a while,no because I have a full time job and have very little time to write. Hopefully, I will continue the next couple of chapters in the book in the summer. The book I am writing is something similar to these kinds of books, not as many sex scenes but like I said, I love the story.

I started reading this book last week and I really liked this book. I thought it was different from the many books that are pretty much the same. The character(woman) in the book is apparently a plus size lady who falls in love with a billionaire. The billionaire is in love with her too and to make it interesting she is his secretary that he has been in love with since she started working for him. I just loved the story.

I’m about to throw an ashtray at my boss’s head.

Turns out, the mind behind my favorite, steamy romance novels...the ones I only read in private...the ones that are my only escape after a long day of dealing with The Boss From Hell? It’s not Natalie McBride, the sweet, rural housewife.

It’s him.

That’s right: my boss, Adrian Risinger, the thirty-three-year-old, maddeningly sexy, pissant billionaire “bad boy" who thinks he runs my life. He is also the author of all my deepest, most secret fantasies. And to make matters worse, he needs me to impersonate “Natalie” at a series of book signings and conventions. But, of course, that’s only if I want to keep my job.

On second thought, I’m going to need something heavier than an ashtray.

Read it! Its pretty good and steamy.

Books I've read so far

I have a huge pile of  books that I need to read but these are the ones that I have read so far. Some made me cry and others were just a great read.

Perfected- This book was sort of a bit of Sci-Fi. I was a bit frustrated with this book. Basically this book went back to the whole slavery issue. Only this time there was someone who was breading open as pets. Isn't it the weirdest thing? That's not the only issue I had with this book, they breded only woman or I should say young girls. Which I am really against and it kind of sounded a little sexist. I was a good read, but I just kind of hated some of the sexist thing.

Where she went- Was awesome! to say the least. The first book was great, the movie made a clearer picture of the book. I loved the movie!!  I started reading this book at 7:30 and I did not finish until 2 in the morning. This book made me cry and cheer on this couple to get back together. I was hoping that they would end up together. I hope that this book becomes a movie as well. It was amazing.

To all the boys I'v loved- I picked up this book because I loved the pretty cover of the book and because I thought it was so cute that the character wrote letters to her ex boyfriends. Read it is was a good read. The ending was not what I like but sometimes that happens.

Thousand pieces of you- This book I would classify as a Sci-fi book...or is the proper term syfy. lol I was hesitant on reading this book, only because I knew it was going got be a time traveling type book but after I started reading it, I realized it was more about traveling dimension that is is about time  traveling. There was lots of romance and action in this book. Read it, I know you will fall in love with it too.

Thirteen Reasons why- Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a strange package with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers several cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker - his classmate and crush - who committed suicide two weeks earlier. Hannah's voice tells him that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out why. Clay spends the night crisscrossing his town with Hannah as his guide. He becomes a firsthand witness to Hannah's pain, and learns the truth about himself-a truth he never wanted to face.

Oh my goodness was this a good book! I mean seriously it really is a great book. This book was about how bullying someone can really affects their lives. No matter how big or small the bully is it really does effect someone.

Eleanor and Park:Set over the course of one school year in 1986, this is the story of two star-crossed misfits—smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try. When Eleanor meets Park, you’ll remember your own first love—and just how hard it pulled you under.

Oh how I am in love with Park. Such a sweetheart. My heart hurt for Eleanor though. Read it! You will not be disappointed with this book. Actually, I am lying you might not like the end, like me. Don't like leaving endings as a surprise. We all kind of know what happened or I should say we can infer what happened in the end.

My life next door:
The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not. Loud, numerous, messy, affectionate. And every day from her balcony perch, seventeen-year-old Samantha Reed wishes she was one of them . . . until one summer evening, Jase Garrett climbs her terrace and changes everything. As the two fall fiercely in love, Jase's family makes Samantha one of their own. Then in an instant, the bottom drops out of her world and she is suddenly faced with an impossible decision. Which perfect family will save her? Or is it time she saved herself.

This book was actually pretty cute. I felt sorry for Samantha. I think she wishes she had different family. Who would blame her, I would too. Read the book, it's a good read.

The book I am currently reading is:

A mysterious island.

An abandoned orphanage.

A strange collection of very curious photographs.

It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a deserted island for good reason. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

A spine-tingling fantasy illustrated with haunting vintage photography, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children will delight adults, teens, and anyone who relishes an adventure in the shadows.

This book is taking a while for me to finish. Mostly because the only time I have to read is at night and this book is pretty scary to read at night. I am hoping tonight I can at least read three chapters. It is more of a young readers, I would say about middle school kids.

Book I still have yet to read that are on the book shelf are:

Few bumps on the road(House update)

Its actually been awhile since I have updated about the house and quite a few things have taken place. So lets start at the top. First off ,they have accepted out offer. Since the house was so cheap and was only on the market for 7 days Jaime and I put in the full asking price. Which now I'm thinking we should have gone lower but I don't know.Who knows what could have happened if we had gone just a little bit lower. The only reason we gave full asking price is because we knew someone else was going to snatch it up.

We had to call some inspectors to inspect the house. Since it is a foreclosure, we really don't know much about the house and it's history. All I know is the people who lived here before were really dirty. The carpet is so dirty and what I mean by dirty is that there are beads on the carpet everywhere. There is some wood rot which they will have to fix, apparently there was also some sort of leak in the house. Right above the living room is the master bedroom so there is a leak stain.

We have done the termite inspection which was okay. We don't have termites. We just have the housing inspections where they inspect the whole house and see what needs to be fixed.
On the day the inspector was suppose to come, two different inspectors came into the house claiming to be the inspector. They both had the passcode to the key pad but only one of them was our inspector , the other one...well who knows who he was and what he was doing there. I still need to touch base with my realtor about that. I mean we literally just had someone walk into our future house. I just thought it was really scary and strange that someone claimed to be our inspector and was actually not the inspector is weird. He was an inspector just not ours. Strange, I know.
Unfortunately, the inspector has only done half of the job. Why you may ask, because the awesome realtor on that side is a slacker!!! a slacker yes.

We have a contract where it says the utilities needed to be on in 7 days but did they follow the contract,no they didn't!! So here we are 14 days later and they have just put the utilities on. So their slack is going to delay our closing date which was suppose to be January 30th. This house was suppose to be the location of Megan's birthday party. So tomorrow we will find out when the last part to the inspection is. I am hoping that we get the house as soon as possible. We still need to do the appraisal which I know won't pass so we will need repairs, and it they took long on the utlilities then I am more than sure they will take their sweet time on the repairs. Fun!(that's sarcasm if you can't tell)

I also have had to get some paperwork signed. It was more an emotional thing than anything. I mean I am pretty much signing my life away but we are finally getting a house. I am excited.

All things Christmas

There are going to be a ton of rictures in this post so beware. I have to catch up at some point. I hope that I can get back into the swing of things in this upcoming year. I say that every January but it's very true. I guess I will have to blog when I am watching T.V and just have to make time because it feel like it's been forever.

Andrew was not into the whole Christmas decorating to the tree and the house. Megan on the other hand loved it. She kept putting things on the tree. Our tree was supernal of things from the past years. I really like that she can see some of the holiday crafts that she has made over the years.

We had a great time at school. I have to say I pretty much did nothing on the last week of school. Other than a couple of tests and come christmas fraction math we saw movies and lots of crafts. This was my door to my classroom. I wasn't going to do this but I decided that I probably should because i just love Christmas and I wanted the kids to be able to feel the spirt. I even bought them Christmas cookies in a plastic bear that I would give them before lunch time. Terrible I know but they went to P.E afterwards so they burned it off. My principal gave you money to get some books at the Scholastic warehouse. Oh my god I was in heaven! There were so many books. I ended up getting some books for Megan and I got my students all the Diary of a Wimpy kid books. Those are the ones that they wanted so I got it for them

Jaime had to work on Christmas day so we have our "Christmas " on Christmas Eve. We also made some tamales. Also forgot to mention that Marshall came to our house to visit Andrew and Megan. Andrew didn't care too much about him but Megan of course was thrilled to have him home again. I really wanted to change it up this year on Marshall but time caught up and I could not make him into a girl. Our Christmas and Christmas Eve was pretty uneventful. It was very cold outside and all three of us were sick so we stayed in doors cuddling up with a blanket and fell asleep watching Christmas movies.

The waiting game

We have put an offer on a house and it has 5 bedrooms and 2 full and 1/2 bath. We are super excited because the seller is a building company that have many houses and they want to get rid of this one so they priced it pretty low. So we have put in an offer and they had a little counter which we agreed to and hopefully everything goes well and we are moved into the house on February 1st.  We still have yet to hear from our realtor that they have accepted. I am so nervous to hear back from them.

As you can see we have a ton of work to do but for the price and how it looks inside, it's a great buy.
