Buying a home

I didn't think it was going to be hard looking for a house to buy. I honestly thought that I was going to find the one in just a short while. We have been looking for a house for about 3 weeks already. We have viewed 4 houses so far. We have three more that we need to see this weekend. I fell in love with a two story house  that had everything I wanted and it was so darn beautiful!!! Unfortunately, they didn't like our offer and so they countered too high, so we let it go.It was hard for me but I really don't want to have a high monthly payment.

The list of things we want in our home are:
safe neighborhood
3-4 rooms
a garage
laundry room
a big back yard
large kitchen
dining room

We have another viewing soon and I kind of am in love with the two story house we are going to see. I think the only thing I don't like is that it's a little old.

This was the house I  was in love with but was a little too pricey.

Off to the next one.....

Christmas photos(sort of)

Hi there!!! Nope have no totally abandoned my little blog. I miss it so much. I wish I could come back and write/type but honestly I don't have much time to do this. Yes, I could wake up at 5 in the morning and blog on the weekends. However, I wake up at that time everyday to get ready for work so for once I would like to wake up a little later even if it's 7 a.m.,(on the days Andrews actually lets me sleep in). I have to say I have been busy with the kids, my husband, house hunting(yep finally), work, staar prep. Gosh, I really hate the staar test. So it's really been stressful around here. I hope to get back into gears once we move into our new house...and Andrew gets a little bit older. Don't worry I'll come back. :)

ACL-Austin City Limits Festival

Not sure If I mentioned if but Jaime and I are going to ACL! If you don't know what it is (like me, 2 months ago) it's just a huge festival with different bands. It's really not my kind of music but my husband has always wanted to go so I got these tickets as a surprise. I don't think he was expecting for me to say that I bought these tickets. It's going to be so much fun! We will be away from the kiddos for two-ish days and staying in Austin! I think Im more excited that I will be just with my husband acting like we are carefree! That's going to feel nice. Oh, and some exciting news, I was recommended for a 3rd grade teacher! I am so excited and cannot wait to sign my contract to get started!

3 months today!

My baby is 3 months old. Good god it's going fast, next month I will be able to give him some solids and I am really sad that that will be happening soon. He is a baby that is always smiling, he hardely ever cries unless he is hungry or wants attention.

As of right now Andrew is weighing at about 13 pounds. I'm not exactly sure how much he is now. Last time we checked was 2 weeks ago. I'm more than sure that he has added some pounds. He has gotten a lot better at pulling himself up when he has tummy time. I think we need to spend a little more time on it though to really master it.

He went to South Padre Island for the first time this month. We went to eat for some real sea food and we also went into a little store for bathing suits. Next month if everything goes to plan we will be going to schlitterbahn, and I'm sure he will love it, he seems to love the water.

He is now on Size 2 of diapers. He is just such a big boy. I kind of already knew that he would need size 2 at the end of his first month. He is also wearing size 3-6 months and I am more than sure he will be moving up to to 6-8 soon. My little guy is a big baby.

We are still breastfeeding and If your wondering if I have had my first public debut on nursing. I have:) It was on July 5th while watching the fireworks and again at a kiddie pool. I think I am getting the hang of it. I'm starting to feel more and more comfortable doing it. It is honestly less hassle than bottles.  I still hide a little especially around men but for the most part it's going very well. Another thing I need to point at is how supportive my family is. My dad especially, he is very reserved and I thought he was going to be uncomfortable but I like that he is o.k with it and he does not mind me nursing as long as I'm covered up, which of course I am going to do.I just needed to give him that credit.

He has gotten into a schedule. Usually Andrew wakes up at 7 am (on good days) and on the bad days he's up at 3 am. This past month was a really bad month of sleeping. Thankfully, he has been doing better when it comes to sleeping. For three days straight he was waking up every hour of the night. It was brutal on those nights. I was so frustrated and so sleepy.

He does not like when I pull his clothes over his head and he gets a little fussy when we leave the room. He likes to play from 4-7 with us. During the morning he will sleep and eat and repeat until 3.For whatever reason though for the past two days he is down to two naps during the day and he pretty much wakes up at night only when he is hungry then he goes right back to sleep.

Picture overload

This has been a great summer! I am honestly in denial that school will be starting soon. I am very very very not ready to send my baby to kindergarten. I just don't want her to go to school and be in a classroom filled with different personalities. I am scared that she not going to be able to stand up to for herself. I'm praying I get this job at a school so she can at least be close to me, and I won't have to worry so much.

I have an interview on Thursday and I am seriously just looking up all the question that they may ask. I am trying to remember all the key words in education lingo. So that's pretty much what I have been doing this week. I want this job so bad that it has just surrounded my mind lately. I don't know how I am going to take it if I don't get it. Probably cry, yeah that's it, I'll probably cry.

Megan has been having a great summer vacation, she has been going to the pool, San Antonio, and she has been going to parks. Megan went to San Antonio for two days and I really hate that she was gone that long. In fact I hated that Jaime and Megan were gone for that long. They went with his family and I stayed at home with Andrew. Andrew and I had a relaxing weekend just us, catching up on some Netflix movies and TV shows. Megan and Jaime went to Fiesta Texas, where Jaime did not take any photos. I just want to take note that I had told him to take a camera and he said that he didn't need it, that he was going to use his phone. Yeah, he didn't even use his phone to take pictures. Then I told him why he didn't buy me anything over there, and he said that he didn't take any cash, even though I asked him the day before if he needed cash and he said "no". Ugh!

Insta photos

We've been having some good days around here. I love when I have good days with my husband. Lots of laughs and caressing, it's so nice. Life gets in the way a lot but when we finally have time to enjoy each others company it really is worth all of the things we go through on a daily bases.

I am so excited I finally have these books. I finished the 2nd book about a year ago and I'm barely getting around to reading the last two. Lets just say it's getting even better. It's very mythically(is that a word?) and I am enjoying the book much more, I didn't think I would like those whole "mythical creatures" but it sure is well written.

We have taken the first step in getting a house. Unfortunately, we are getting cold feet again. I think our feet will be warm again when I finally get my job. I still have yet to get a call from someone. I do have an interview though for a second grade teacher at a school, but it's not until August. So I am going to have very little time to get everything together for at least the first week. I will be a busy bee when and if I do get the job.

An order of a good nights rest, please?

Look at this little cutie's face. You would never know he has been keeping his momma awake for most of the night. Honestly, I have not gotten a full nights rests. I'm considering giving him formula in the night time so that he is full for the rest of the night. However, this little man won't drink his whole bottle. I don't know if he is doing it on purpose;) or what, but Im not getting much of rest. So today we are going to do something different. I'm going to keep him awake from 3-8, maybe that will at least give me some time to sleep. Wish me luck for some sleep tonight.

A glimpse of our summer

Megan has been spending a good amount of time with my parents and they have been taking her places and of course buying her things.

Megan and I went to the zoo while the boys stayed at home and caught up with sleep. We had fun at the zoo, and really enjoyed the Dinosaur adventures at the zoo. It was felt real, it was creepy. The sound effects were just crazy and since we were the only ones inside the dinosaur exhibit, it was pretty scary. Those things really looked like they were going to come alive at any moment. Megan also has gone to the pool a few times. I mean this girl is having some fun.

Some days we just stay at home and just hang out with these guys. These guys are definitely brother and sister thought. I do find some things the same and I think sometimes they may look alike.

4th of July was spent with my family. We played volley ball and popped some fireworks. It was so humid outside so I tried to leave Andrew with people who were inside for as long as possible. Megan was also inside because she was scared of all the fireworks. The quality of these pictures are terrible. I hate my phone sometimes.

Big Brother 16

Every summer the one thing I totally look forward to,other than the hot Texas sun, Is Big Brother. I never saw the show before I was married. Jaime was the one who introduced the show to me. Last year we said that we would get the live feeds next year. At first I was a bit hesitant about getting the live feeds this year but then I thought that we always say we are going to do something and then we flake out, so we changed it up. The live feeds have been our best friend. Jaime is a reality show kind of guy and I just like the drama to unfold in front of me when it come to this show. We are really enjoying ourselves with the live feeds. I have to say though that they really leave out a ton of stuff on the episodes.

2 months old

Clothes:Andrew no longer fits into newborns and is now wearing three month clothes. I was really scared  because I only had newborn clothes and only a handful of only 3 month clothes,so I had to buy some clothes. Thankfully that week we went to an outlets store where I was able to buy him some clothes.

He only cries when he is hungry, has a dirty diaper or he wants attention. He is a really good baby so far. Always smiling, loves kisses, I think he actually kind of likes being the center of attention. Im having some fun with this little guy, he is getting me into a routine and has made me realize I'm fine with just a few hours of sleep after all. Sometimes I want him to tell me that he loves me because I just don't know if he does. He looks like a happy baby. I hope he knows that I am his momma.

He is able to watch me with his eyes. He will follow my face if I move it. Dad tried to give him the pacifier and Andrew rejected it, which I kind of knew that was going to happen. However, daddy is still pushing the paci on him. He started drooling too, which is pretty gross. I swear I think that he is teething. I don't remember Megan drooling this much this early. People have already told us that he looks a lot bigger than what he actual is. He's only two months but he actually looks like he is 3-4 months.

He went to his first baseball game and was pretty much asleep through the whole thing. He also watched his daddy play kickball against some other firefighters. They all thought he looked liked his daddy. He kicks his legs a lot, I think he is going to be a soccer player (obviously!).

He has hicups almost all the time. The only way we clear that right up is bundling him up. I am so sure that this little baby is going to be a momma's boy. Don't even care that I will probably be that way, he's my baby.

Sleep: He loves being wrapped when he is put down in his crib, otherwise he won't sleep. He also hates when the air condition turns on, I guess because he can feel when it turns on. Car rides are a plus to get him to go to sleep. He is pretty good when it comes to night time sleep and day time sleep. He stays awake during the day and falls asleep pretty quickly in between meals in the middle of the night. He sleeps at 8pm, wakes up again at 10pm, 12am, 3am, and 5/6am. After 6 am, it is the start to our day. So every day momma has been waking up at 6 am. We go to the living room and hang out there watching the Office until the dad and sister wake up.

Meals: Meals, are still every two hours. Momma is producing a lot more milk now a days, and If I miss a feeding my boobs feel rock hard and feel like they will explode any minute. You have no problem latching and Im so proud of ourselves that we are still at this. I honestly thought I would never be a breastfeeding momma because I thought it was too hard but here were are:) & I love the time I get to have with you.

Andrew, you have officially stolen our hearts. Your sister is completely in love with you and always wants to carry you. Your dad is so happy your here he always wants to carry you and talks about all the things you all will be doing in the future. Momma can't imagine life without you, I just have to be near you, like I feel something is missing if your away. Grandma has asked for me to leave you with her from the night but I just can't. Grandma is much older and since I can barely wake up in the middle of the night myself, I don't know how she would. We love you so much little baby boy!
