Let's go to the Beach,Beach

Megan had this great idea to go to the beach last week. I thought it was funny because boy did we have an eventful time last time we came to the beach, you can read about it Here. We had not gone to the beach since that time. I just didn't want to go if it was going to be exactly like last time.  Thankfully It wasn't like last time. She was pretty much always in the water, making sandcastles in the sand, and burying her uncle in the sand. She was fast asleep when we went home. We didn't stay for long,it was from 8:00-12:30. It was a Sunday and some of us had work to do that day and Jaime had to work the next day, so we thought it was best for us not be there for too long.We woke up at about 5:45 in the morning. Well actually I woke up at that time, Jaime and Megan had a really tough time waking up at that time. Somehow I got those two out of bed and we were off to meet my sisters and brother at our moms house. I think this beach trip was a hit. It was memorial weekend so when we left there was a huge amount of cars just trying to get into the island. The Island we were at is called South Padre Island, I think Ive read a couple of bloggers have visited this Island. We live super close but we probably come about less than 5 times a year. I love the pictures we took, I'll always remember this time at the beach. It was the first time Megan was happy at the Island:)

Had another the same location!

The "Bad day" song from Daniel Powters keep replaying over and over my head. My day probably could have gone a lot worse than it has been going. At this point though I need a restart button. Have they finished making those?? So we are having some tiny problems at home that I dont feel like sharing right now, nothing to do with Jaime and I, just life problems I guess, but either way, those things have been round my mind for a few days. Plus, I had a "dumb" moment in my my online classroom.

Lets start with my Geography class. I'm going to go to come out and say, I hate dislike Geography. Don't care where most of the countries are located, don't care how much population they have? I just don't. It does not interest me at all. So because of my lack of interest my grades are not all that great. Thankfully, Im not the only one that seems to be having a hard time with this class. We have to post discussions on a thread and the chapter was on North America. Well, I made the dumb mistake of asking why they mentioned Canada so much. I didn't realize that Canada is part of North America, until I pressed the submit button. So now my peers will think I'm an idiot. When I think of North America, I only think of America. I guess it's just me and my way of thinking "North America", America..Oh, United States of America.

Oh and I have to mention this. my teacher,....he's Canadian. Awesome. Im going to get an earful from him.

Then today in the morning, I head to HEB(grocery store in Texas, in case you don't know) and I find a parking space, I turn into it and stop, Im pretty sure I put it on park but apparently I didn't. So before I know it,I am raming into the thing you put the carts in outside. At the time my car was moving forward, I was counting some money In my car and looking down, so for whatever reason I could not feel my car moving. So I ram into the thing, thankfully I didn't hit the truck it was close to. I looked around and I thought that someone was pushing me into the thing, I feel like I blanked out for a second there. One of the men that worked there came to see if I was ok. I was just really shook up, my hands were shaking and I was on the verge of crying. I swear I thought I had it on park. After he asked me 1000 times if I was ok he let me go. I was so embarrassed of what I did I had to leave.

This is not the first time I have a little crash at HEB, its the second time. The first time, I was 17 and I crashed into a jeep. I was barely learning how to drive so I guess I can blame it on that. I think I should stay away from that store from now on.

I really hope all of Ya'll are having a better Friday than I am.

Mother's day

I realized I never posted some of the other Mother's day photos. I have told you all a few things that we did do on that day, such as Disney on Ice but we also went to Barnes and Nobles, and we also ate at Logans for Lunch/Dinner.

In the morning Jaime came in and brought me some flowers and some breakfast. Which was the sweetest thing. My flowers were beautiful with it's Mother's day balloon. Megan and I were pretty much ready for the day before Jaime got home and Megan was in her cute little dress. I bought that dress thinking that it was going to be hot and with this crazy weather it turned out to be a little chilly.

Before we went to the show, we stopped by Barnes and Nobles. Jaime, bought the book Jane Eyre along with a bookmark I wanted and Megan and I were just hanging around Barnes and Nobles taking pictures of ourselves. After the show we went to Logan's where Jaime gave me my presents. Along with my present, he game me a little note that said I O U  Kindle e-reader. I thought it was so cute. I had a fun day. I was with my whole family that day, except for my sister missing of course. I'm just glad I took my little baby to the Disney on Ice show, she is the little one that made me a momma afterall.

I wrote this post on Sunday and had it scheduled for Tuesday. Somehow blogger deleted it and Im having to write it up again. Thanks

For Mother's day I received the book Jane Eyre. I've seen all versions of the movie but I suspect that it is missing parts of the book and since I just adore this movie I needed to have the book. I'm currently reading this book. Ive only gotten to about page 5 because there were other books ahead of this one. When I finish this book it will be Numero 28 that I have read so far in the year. I think Im doing poorly on my 2013 book challenge. I have to either stop searching for books and just settle or something. Or something:)

We made the decision to buy Megan a wood playground. When I was younger my family could not afford the pretty wood swing, so me and my sister settled for the metal ones. Not to say that my parents didn't try and buy them for us because they really did try but ultimately they were just too expensive. We still had fun with our metal ones, so no harm done. Jaime will be putting up this bad boy up this week. Well, he is going to be doing the "start" to the project this week. So we will see what exactly that means.

My glasses broke by the person my mom calls "Megan-tron" Aka Megan. I think she either stepped on them while trying to get to her carseat ooorr she sat on them with her big booty. I was without glasses for 2 weeks and let me tell ya, that was not fun. Everything was a blur, especially at night. Thank god It was only 30 dollars to repair them. So, I can finally see clearly.

I really thought this semester was going to be the easiest thing. Turns out it's just as hard as all the other classes. Every Monday this is pretty much what I do all morning/all day. The rest of the week depends on the amount of work given to me but this is pretty much me almost everyday even if it's just for an hour. I'm looking forward to some time off. I got one day off from one semester to the next and it really, really was not enough. On the plus side, I will be a Senior come August:)

On Mother's day we also went to the Disney on Ice show. It was our 3rd year in a row seeing a Disney on Ice show. I have to say though,I think my favorite show has been Tangled. It was colder this time around though. I mean freezing cold. Jaime and I were sharing a jacket and realized that, that was not right so we gave the jacket we were using to Megan. She had her own jacket and she got our jacket that we were sharing. Jaime and I were freezing cold throughout the whole show. What mattered though was that our baby was warm:) Look at that face, she deserves everything, within reason of course:)

The Panic Attack.

Lets start from the wayyyy beginning. Megan needed some shots since February, but because I hate it when she gets shots and she hates the doctor, period. We decided to just postpone it a little. It is now May and Jaime finally took her to the doctor's office for her 4yr check-up, I had some errands to run on Friday and I also had some volunteer hours to do since it was early release on Friday. I finally get home and I ask them both how it went. Apparently she got 3 shots and they were all given to her on her thighs. He also said that she scream bloody murder sooo Im kind of glad I didnt go otherwise I would have cried.

So lets fastforward to when I take her a shower the next day and I am working on putting on her shorts and what do I notice? A red bump.
Yep, a scare little bump. I dont panic. I call Jaime and tell him what Im looking at. He says that it is probably a reaction to the shots. I let it slide because it was a little tiny thing.

The next morning I look at her leg again...and notice,It got bigger.

(It doesn't look much in this photo but trust me it was huge.)

So I get my phone call her doctor,Its Sunday, the operator answers the phone and says that she is going to call the doctor and the doctor will call me back. So while I'm waiting for the doctor I call my answer. I call my dad(he used to be a nurse's assistant)..In a sort of panic voice, I tell him Megan's leg is swollen...all he gets in is a "What!?" because the doctor is calling on the other line. I pretty much hang up on my dad and I start talking to Megan's doctor which he goes to tell me that this kind of thing sometimes happens to kids & that I should not be worried unless she had a fever and is not acting herself. Girlfriend was running around the house at the time he was telling me this.

So I calm down and then the door bell rings and it's my dad telling me how much I scared him. I tell him everything is ok. Side note: I just love how fast he came rushing to our house for Megan:)

I honestly don't care if I went into a panic mode, this kid is my life. I will call anyone and everyone to get her help. That's what being a parent is all about.

The lazy weekend.

This past weekend I was determined to stay in my Pajamas for as much as possible. I just wanted to have one weekend where I didn't have to get all dressed up. So I pretty much stayed in doors and let me tell ya, It was lovely. Minus the panic attack I got, it was a pretty good weekend.

On Friday after my Volunteer hours. We went to another talent show for my little sister, which by the way she killed! She was amazing! I mean that girl has a great voice. Have ya'll ever watched the movie Parental Guidance? In the movie, the way parenting has change is depicted as, everyone wins and no one keeps score in games and parents cannot say negative things about anyone in the game. That's pretty much how the principal and the staff members wanted for the parents to do. To my dad that's just the weirdest thing. There was a group of girls who weren't the best singers and my dad just had to say a negative comment. I guess it's just in their nature. Parenting has really changed since then.

Saturday morning I went to school while Megan hung out with her grandpa and her aunt Angela. Class went by quickly, I just had to present a hands-on game and the subject was Reading. After class I went to K-mart to get a few things. I spotted this little cute dress for a newborn. There were a ton of cute clothes for babies and I think I will be going back there if we have another girl.

I took my little sister with me to my house to be with me and Megan while my dad did some work on the yard and went to my uncle mikes auto shop. Megan and her were playing while I cleaned a little, read some books, and caught up on blogging. We ate some yummy pizza for dinner, we got a little visit from my mom and I was also finished up my chalkboard. I had no clue what to put on my chalkboard and I ended up with a music theme, because after I was done with the chalkboard I was going to put some music in my iPod. The girls didnt sleep till midnight and I fell asleep at 2 in the morning. I was tired in the morning but my brain woke me up at 6 am anyways.

On Sunday, we stayed in my PJs all day long. We cleaned and watched Bridezillas, and had a little BBQ with Jaime. Jaime and I stayed up watching Bridezillas at night and oh my god we were just laughing and laughing with this one bride, she was just hilarious.

Next batch of books please??

There are some really good things about having a kindle. The one thing that I am growing to love is the lending library.  Did you know that you can borrow ebooks from you local library? I knew already from the beginning, but I thought I would have to do a whole bunch of passwords and all that shananigans, until I tried it one day and it was easy as 1..2...3. Seriously it's easy....and the best part...Its freakin' free!!! I highly encourage you avid readers to participate on this.

I'm still trying to get used to the brightness on my kindle but I've learned that you can make the screen different colors when you read. Thank god, because I think I could have gone blind.

These are the book I have read and one that I am still currently reading.

Stolen-Lucy Christopher
From Amazon: A girl: Gemma, 16, at the airport, on her way to a family vacation.

A guy: Ty, rugged, tan, too old, oddly familiar, eyes blue as ice.

She steps away. For just a second. He pays for her drink. And drugs it. They talk. Their hands touch. And before Gemma knows what's happening, Ty takes her. Steals her away. To sand and heat. To emptiness and isolation. To nowhere. And expects her to love him.
Written as a letter from a victim to her captor, STOLEN is Gemma's desperate story of survival; of how she has to come to terms with her living nightmare--or die trying to fight it.
This books was pretty intense. You want to know more of the captivator, and why he chose her.
Good book!!

Ana & the French kiss-Stephanie Perkins
From Amazon: Anna can't wait for her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a good job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. So she's not too thrilled when her father unexpectedly ships her off to boarding school in Paris - until she meets Etienne St. Clair, the perfect boy. The only problem? He's taken, and Anna might be, too, if anything comes of her crush back home. Will a year of romantic near-misses end in the French kiss Anna awaits?
Ana and the French kiss was a very sweet romantic book...nope scratch that, it's the perfect romance book. The two main characters will win your heart.
It was a top 5 romance novel, In my list:)
Great Read!!!

Divergent-Veronica Roth
From Amazon: In Beatrice Prior’s dystopian Chicago world, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can’t have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.
During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles alongside her fellow initiates to live out the choice they have made. Together they must undergo extreme physical tests of endurance and intense psychological simulations, some with devastating consequences. As initiation transforms them all, Tris must determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes exasperating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers unrest and growing conflict that threaten to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves . . . or it might destroy her.
This book was actually a spur of the moment. I borrowed it from my library. I was actually looking for another book called Beautiful creatures but instead I just borrowed this one. I was a little hesitant on reading this book because it seems like all young adult books have that love triangle and I'm so tired of reading that. This book does not have a love triangle.
Great Read, I cant wait to read the next one!

Born at midnight-C.C. Hunter
From Amazon: One night Kylie Galen finds herself at the wrong party, with the wrong people, and it changes her life forever.  Her mother ships her off to Shadow Falls—a camp for troubled teens, and within hours of arriving, it becomes painfully clear that her fellow campers aren’t just “troubled.”  Here at Shadow Falls, vampires, werewolves, shapshifters, witches and fairies train side by side—learning to harness their powers, control their magic and live in the normal world.
Kylie’s never felt normal, but surely she doesn’t belong here with a bunch of paranormal freaks either.  Or does she?  They insist Kylie is one of them, and that she was brought here for a reason.  As if life wasn’t complicated enough, enter Derek and Lucas.  Derek’s a half-fae who’s determined to be her boyfriend, and Lucas is a smokin’ hot werewolf with whom Kylie shares a secret past.  Both Derek and Lucas couldn’t be more different, but they both have a powerful hold on her heart.
Even though Kylie feels deeply uncertain about everything, one thing is becoming painfully clear—Shadow Falls is exactly where she belongs…

Born at Midnight does have a love triangle..nope not happy about that, but I just love all the supernatural things. This one is not just vampires and wolves..but they also have shapeshifters and fairies and people seeing ghost. So far it's a really good book. I have to check if the next one is available to read on my kindle.
Great read!!!

Catching Jordan-Miranda Kenneally
From Amazon: What girl doesn't want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn't just surrounded by hot guys, though–she leads them as the captain and quarterback of her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys and that's just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university.
But everything she's ever worked for is threatened when Ty Greeen moves to her school. Not only is he an amazing QB, but he's also amazingly hot. And for the first time, Jordan's feeling vulnerable. Can she keep her head in the game while her heart's on the line?

Catching Jordan is another ebook from my library. I'm only on page 25 but so far,its a pretty good book. Brings back memories from High school. Not totally from high school but the relationship part.

Judy Moody-Megan McDonald
From Amazon: To start, Judy Moody doesn't have high hopes for third grade. Her new desk won't have an armadillo sticker with her name on it. Her new classroom will not have a porcupine named Roger. And with her luck, she'll get stuck sitting in the first row, where Mr. Todd will notice every time she tries to pass a note to her best friend, Rocky. An aspiring doctor, Judy does have a little brother who comes in handy for practicing medicine, a cool new pet, and a huge Band-Aid collection.

Judy also has an abundance of individuality and attitude, and when Mr. Todd assigns a very special class project, she really gets a chance to express herself! Megan McDonald's spirited text and Peter Reynolds's wry illustrations combine in a feisty, funny first chapter book for every kid who has ever felt a little out of sorts.
I read this book for my future classroom and because Megan is in a Judy Moody phase. We both loved the book.
Cute book!

Its officially the first day of Summer Semester. Spring semester was really hard and I'm glad it's over. I received a new batch of classes this morning. My last day of spring semester was on Saturday at 10:20 AM, and get first class of summer is today. So I had only about a day and a half to truly relax. It really sucks, I need a break! A long, long break. I know I didn't blog last week and I think the week before that but Ive been busy with school and lesson plans. You know, the never-ending story.

For weeks, Jaime and I have been discussing about what we should do about the washer and dryer room. I've suggested countless things. Mr. Gonzalez saw this as an opportunity to put some of his military flags and call that decorating. So this is what our washer and dryer room looks like now. This isn't really what I had in mind but ehh..I did marry a Marine and that part of his life will never go away so Its staying like this:)

I bought some Mason jars over the weekend. I didnt really know what to do with them until I saw Megan painting her bird house and remembered that you can paint the jars from the inside. This is what it looks like now. We bought a horizontal book shelf a while back and still have yet to make it look decent. I have only bought about 5 pieces to decorate the table. Still need a long way to go. Im thinking of making a colorful table. We'll see how it goes. Jaime really liked the Jars so I know I did a really good job on them.

I have to say, I think I know about ROUGHLY 20 lucky ladies that are pregnant. I know it's crazy!! I mean what kind of water are they drinking?:) I am so happy for all of them. I went to the doctor I think about 2 months ago just for a check up. We started to talk about the possibility of being pregnant again and my doctor said that I should start taking folic acid. I know that it's very good to have in your body before the baby is conceived. So for about 1 week and a couple of days now I have been taking these bad boys. I'm kind of excited, every time I take one I just cant help but think that soon we will be having a new face around the house. Baby making is creepin' up soon and I want to make sure the baby is as healthy as can be.

Last week on Tuesday Megan started to vomit at daycare so Jaime took her straight to the doctors, I met them there and they said that she just had a little cough. So they gave her some medication. She was suppose to stay at home for a few days. The little booger ended up staying at home all week long, isnt she lucky:) She got over her cough on Wednesday but she still stayed at home with mom:) Im just glad she was not sick, I hate seeing her sick and cough so much.

Megan and I visited the public library on Wednesday morning. I think Ive been spending so much money on books I thought I would try borrowing them from the library. I got two books from the library and ordered these 3 from amazon. I have a good handful of books to read and still need a good amount of books left to read. My goal for this year is to read 100 books so far I have read only 20 books. I feels like that's very little but I'm still reading. I plan on making a post on all the books I have read, Just the titles and the link to where you can buy them.

I'm sure most of you all have seen the pin on pinterest of a mug and the permanent marker. I just wanted a pencil/pen holder but seriously Its pretty hard to make. The cup is round and pretty hard to write on. I suppose I just need some practice, nope, I obviously need some practice:).
