With my two favorite people

This past weekend, we stayed indoors and at the end of the weekend I felt terrible that we didn't leave the house and have some fun. I felt really bad for Megan. So I told Jaime if we could go to the park so that Megan could play. This semester has been horrible and I know that I have not fully been there with Megan. Ive spent a lot of my time studying so I owed her this. We had a great time, we had a little picnic with the damn seagulls. They were ready to attack our food. Then we fed the ducks and Megan spent some time playing on the pirate ship boat. Megan really enjoyed herself, we played capt. hook, and two princesses. It was so much fun. Then Mr. Jaime made me get into this little tiny hole that is for kids and surprisingly I fit! Well kind of:)

Life. Music.

* looks like I forgot to post this last week. Oh well, here it is:)

Im not sure if this is just me but do you ever think to yourself. Hmmm..have I already posted this picture already? And then your there looking back at all your posts. Yeah, I totally do that sometimes.

I think I posted yesterday that Jaime was part of Career day at Megan's daycare. Well, the next night Miss Megan and all her friends were in the newspaper. I received the text message late at night about the paper and jumped in my car to get the paper. I was pretty excited to see Megan on the newspaper=) It was just a little story about the daycare having Career day, but it was still so exciting. My mom also bought the paper and put it up on her fridge.

I'm pretty sure I have posted about Mr. Jaime was in a band when he was in High school. The music in him has never left him and still loves to play when he gets the chance. For a couple of months he has been begging asking for an acoustic guitar. So spontaneously we went to go by him one. He has been playing some Brad Paisley on his guitar its pretty awesome. The acoustic guitar has some sort of a romance sound to it:) I'm a sucker for romance.

Two weeks ago we bought this pool for Megan, It was a very interesting experience. She made me get in her pool and It was a little too cold for me. So when I finally came out I was so sore, and that does not even cut it. I was so sore that I could not walk. I guess the shaking mixed in with the cold water made my legs feel terrible. We have not been able to get in the pool in awhile. I cant believe its so close to the summer and right now it is pretty cold outside. Its weird weather for this time of the year.

I love my new rug, it added so much color to the porch. I kind of wanted to paint the floor but we still have not decided on it. In case you were wondering I got this pretty rug at Target.

We have watched Pitch Perfect about more than 100xs. Geez. She is in love with the movie and knows This was happening at our house Sunday after noon. Talk about a Diva!

I still make him nervous=)

I wanted to write this down while it's still fresh in my head. (..Posting a week later.)

So I am washing dishes and Jaime and I are talking about the presentation he is going to do for "Career day' at Megan's daycare. So he is talking and talking about what he is going to say. Then I say "hey, do you want me to go".
And he says with a chuckle "Ugh, I knew you were going to ask that."
He said "I dont want you in the room because I would be nervous and if I mess up I dont want to be embarrassed."

All I thought was awww. Its 5 years later and I still make him nervous

Honestly, I would feel the same way if he was in my classroom and I was teaching.

For whatever reason, this photo isn't turning.

Book Reviews(sort of)

“I guess there are never enough books.” -John Steinbeck

The Matched Trilogy was pretty good for teen books. The only thing It really lacked was the romance. I would have wanted to see more romance. It had some romance but I'm more of a romantic book reader. It did have plenty of action. It reminded me of The Giver and The hunger games all in one.
I am currently reading, Heart of the matter followed by A grown-up kind of pretty. I'm not sure how many books that is so far, but Im pretty proud of myself that I am taking time to blog and read and keep up with all my classes. I just had to eliminate t.v. from my life but its worth it.

Oh, and for all you book worms, The Elite is released TOMORROW!

This & That

Ive seen a couple of bloggers doing this kind of post, and I just wanted to write a quick post on what has been going on in our lives lately.

1. I think we are so close to finishing out porch. The last thing we want to do is put in a colorful mat for the front door. I added another plant to the front door. We only had one plant at the time so we bought another to have on the other side. I made the big "G" and Megan did her own "G" on the other side. It looks more like the number 6 but she's pretty proud of it.

2. We bought a new bed set. Yay! Its been 6 years since we bought this set. We were incredibly uncomfortable, Jaime thought the floor was so much better to sleep on, so I knew it was time to buy a new bet set.  Our new bed is pretty amazing. Its a memory foam bed and it is so comfortable. Jaime said this morning that he felt so well rested.

It was pretty funny when we were putting our new bed set together we realized that it was amazingly tall for us. We are pretty short people and the bed is a little too tall for us. Im 5'1 and the bed is up to my torso area. So I actually need to swing my leg to get on the bed.

This was when we were using our old bed. See how it's below the window and our nightstands are sort of leveled with our bed? Look at my lamp on the side.....

and look at the lamp now.Hello down there?! Just kidding. It is pretty tall though. I don't know if you can tell with these pictures if it is tall but it is. Megan can't get on it without help.

3. Couple of weeks ago I posted one of these letters on IG and I forgot to post the finished product. I just love how they came out. I was afraid they were going to be a little too big but it turns out to be the perfect size.

4. Megan has been a little character lately. In this picture she had just finished spraying my neighbors window. I was just praying they didnt come out and say something. She is also into dressing up. Oh gosh and the singing. All day, every day singing. Her favorite movie right now is Pitch Perfect and she knows every single song in the movie. We've recorded her so many time and she loves to see and hear herself.

 5.  I dont know it you all have read The selection but the second part to is being release next week. I am so excited, I have a countdown. I guess that's when you know you read too many books. =)

Outside play

I don't think we are outside enough.
First off, I stay inside when Jaime works, our private fence is not fully closed off so I don't feel like it is totally private where I can be in the back and no one can see us. It is just one of those over protective things I have.
Secondly, it is effin hot. Hot, Hot, Hot. That's the only thing I hate about Texas, that when the summer comes its not just hot..its fuggin HOT!
The times when we do go outside to play its fun and so laid back. On this particular day we were planting some flowers, which Megan has really started enjoying. We still have plans to plant some flowers in the back of the house but that part is still in the works.

Megan seems to like being outside but we don't have plenty of outside toys.  She has a small slide,a little tikes car, and a water table. I have saved up quit a bit of money to buy her a swing set. We are waiting for Jaime and my dad to finish my parents private fence so that they can start on Megan's swing set. I cant wait to Megan to have this swing set, I have always wanted a wood swing set but Im so glad I am able to get my little Megan a swing set.

We decided to get a semi-big swing set due to the fact that our future little ones will want to play on it as well. So we are planning on getting something that three children can play in and still not fight over the swing or the slide. I cant wait for them to put it together!

I told Megan about the swing set and she is over the top thrilled about have some swing set.

I love my tin plant holder. I think its pretty nice for being my first one. The second one came out better. I think I will write a DIY post on how to do this but then again its self explanatory. Just cut out a label template and tape it onto whatever you want, and just paint on it.

This photo just melts my heart. These two are the best of friends. I am jealous of their relationship, I'm the tough parent and he is the fun parent. Not that I'm not fun at time but most times it's him. Im the arts and crafts, play dolls parent and Jaime is the climb on my back, lets do some flips on the sofa kind of parent.

I came outside and found them like this. They were searching for bugs. Which I found fascinating. My husband had a little girl not a boy yet.I love how it didn't matter that she was a girl he was showing her what kind of little insects were walking around the plants. I just thought it was the cutest thing. It just made me wonder what he would be like when we have a son.

That time I was a "Handy Woman" (Megan's room)

Well, not really. I did work for a small... tiny....little person named Megan. The process to making Megan a "Room" is still in the works. I know I am going really slow but we are in no rush and things are doing along smoothly. On Tuesday I started working for Megan. She needed some curtains to hang, and I kind of made it a point for me to do Megan's room only.

This picture does not look pretty on how we handled the whole curtains but we bought these pink curtain years ago, I think about 2 years ago in hopes that one day we would use them. The only problem when we moved in here was that we only had two curtain and 3 windows, so I knew that at some point we would have to buy new curtain for her. I asked Megan what color of curtains she wanted and she asked for purple. So the next day, Jaime and I go  to Anna's linens and we buy some purple curtains.

I had the rods ready to go and Jaime had the "driller" thing ready for me to go. I did sweat and It was pretty hard to do. This was my first time drilling holes and putting rods in for the curtains. Pretty neat experience but definitely hard work. I believe it took me an hour and a half. The first one was the toughest one.

This was the finished product, I think it looks so much better but I do think it still is lacking something. I think I know what it is and I plan on going to back to the store to purchase it but for now this is what it looks like. I also have to iron out these curtains. I mean seriously there are so wrinkled, or I could put them in the dryer and have the dryer iron it.

Baby talk,yet again.

So here we are, a couple of months till baby making  and I keep getting comments such as "Where is baby #2?" or "Are ya'll going to have another baby soon" or "Your daughter, I'm sure is lonely" or "Where is the other, your getting older." The last one is pretty terrible.  Thanks, I had not noticed I was getting older. My response is always same its either "we are waiting till next year" or "we are waiting till I graduate".. Then I smile and turn away. I could go on and on why we would like to wait till next year. There are even reasons to wait for another 2 years, but if we don't do it next year,
I think the idea will go away and it will just be Megan.

Aside from all the questions of people.
Baby fever is at it's all time high. If you follow me on Pinterest, you will noticed so many pins on baby stuff.  All I can think of are bow ties and hair bows.Someone please help me. I think I need to take care of an infant for just awhile and remind myself of why we're waiting.

All I can think of is the cuteness...nothing of the labor pains or the diapers, or the night feedings, just the cuteness of the baby. That's so far from reality. That baby is not going to be crapping butterflies:)

I didn't have much to blog about today, this has just been on my mind lately. I mean seriously, I cant wait to have another little baby that is identical to Megan.
Megan, days old.

Megan, Now.

To my Parents....

Dear Mom and Dad,
I don't know what I would do without you. I know so many people say that all the time but it is the truth. I don't know where I would be without your support and great advice. You both make me feel like I can do anything in the world. I know in my heart that you would have probably punched the daylights out of the person who hurt me this morning. Especially mom:) Thanks for always being there for me even if it's just encouraging words. I love you mom and dad.

This morning didn't start so great. Jaime locked his keys in his truck which meant I had to drop him off at work and then I had some trouble at the tax office with some papers. Then I had to wait for 30 minutes for my mom because her clinic was having a meeting, so I had to wait for awhile. I am just waiting for something else to go wrong. So that is why What I'm loving Wednesday is a must this week.

I am Loving that Jaime and I are starting to eat clean. It's something I think we should have started doing a long time ago.

I am Loving the Introduction brochure I had to do for class. The finished product looks a lot better. Then I had to make a website for my pretend classroom. I'm not going to lie, it was pretty fun.

I am Loving the New Paintshop pro I bought a couple of weeks ago. Its a lot more faster and it have more tools to use. I'm still learning how to use it but since I have the Paintshop pro x3, I decided to get the fifth one just because I thought it would be better than starting from the beginning of a brand new software. I did have a little run in with this software yesterday, so much, that I needed to get away from it.

I am Loving that one of my closest friends found out she is pregnant! This would be her 3rd little baby and Im so happy for her. I get to have an excuse to buy some baby clothes.

I am Loving the alone nights I have with Megan. We just go crazy:)

Lastly, I am Loving this little baby girl.

Liking up with Jamie from this kind of love

Easter Fishing Picnic

Hmm I could have added commas to the title as well.

Our Easter started off at 5am. That's right, 5am! We had planned an Easter "Fishing picnic" with my family. The only problem was that I had not seen Jaime in 2 days so I was planning this fishing picnic with my family and just texting Jaime the details.

So we started the morning, and at 5:55am we were at my moms house waiting for everyone else to get ready. We left at about 6:30am and It was still dark out. Megan kept telling me it was night time but I had to explain to her that it was just really early and the sun was going to come out to play any minute now. When we got to our Fishing location there was already a ton of people who had camped out there. So we found a small area we could "set up camp". The only problem was that there were bee's. A lot of them. So many that I didnt feel comfortable having Megan there. I just wanted to be safe than sorry.

So we left to a different spot. This next spot was sort of like a beach looking spot. The sand was there and the water was coming up to the sand. We stayed there till about 10:00am. Jaime finally showed up and we were all fishing and having an amazing time.

&& Here is the best part. We got to see some wild Dolphins swimming. Actually, was saw about 6 of them and one of them gave us a little flip for our entertainment. I mean it was so amazing!!! I was screaming and jumping up and down. The last time I saw those dolphins was when Megan was 1. We go often to that location.

After awhile some people started setting up camp right next to us and they had jetski's which disturbed all the fish. So we moved elsewhere once again. The next spot is where most of the photos were taken. There were a few bees but not as much as the first spot. There was a ton of shade and  about that time it was getting too hot for all of us.

We ate some chicken wings, drank plenty of water, and had some snacks in there too. It was a pretty good day. I'm not going to say it ran super smoothly but it was pretty fun. Jaime caught two fish, I caught one, and my little sister caught one. Megan and her daddy were also tossing the ball to each other.

At about 2:30 we finally left. We were all pretty tired.Megan feel asleep as soon as she sat in the car. We finally got home and Jaime started cleaning like a mad man, I however had to shower. Megan stayed asleep for awhile. In the meantime, Jaime and I were catching up on the last 2 days that he was not here. When Megan woke up we had a small little Easter hunt for her and my sister. I added some money to some of the eggs and my sister won most of it.

Afterwards, Jaime got a call from his brother inviting us over to our SIL family's house. We had some brisket and talked. It was a pretty good Easter. I kind of promised Megan we would have an Easter party next year. We'll see if we could make it happen.

I hope all of Ya'll had a great Easter too:)
